Sustainability Consultant

Alec Seaman is the Bicycle Association’s lead on issues around sustainability. The author of a research paper examining Sustainability in the Cycling Industry and think pieces published on the BA website, Alec now represents the BA at a European level as a founding member of the CONEBI-CIE Corporate Social Responsibility Expert Group.

Associate Director

Daniel was Director & General Manager of Cyclescheme for The Grass Roots Group, with over 20 years’ experience in leadership and board positions. Daniel is working with the Bicycle Association to support and drive new initiatives to support the industry.

Head of Sustainability – Brompton

Louisa Holbrook is Head of Sustainability at Brompton Bicycle. Brompton are the largest bike manufacturer in the UK, with their factory based in Greenford, West London. Made for cities, Brompton bikes are sold in 47 countries around the world and over 75% of production is exported. Brompton’s purpose is to “Create urban freedom for happier lives”, and they are passionate about sustainable mobility and access to cycling. Putting their purpose into action, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic Brompton produced over 750 bikes for NHS workers as part of their Wheels for Heroes campaign, providing the means for key workers to avoid public transport and enjoy the many physical and mental health benefits of cycling at a time of crisis.

Director – B Corp Certification

James is Director of B Corp Certification at B Lab UK, responsible for growing the B Corp community and managing the certification process for businesses large and small across the UK. James has also held roles in Innovation at an international women and girls’ rights charity and has worked with multinationals and local SMEs in sub-Saharan Africa supporting the growth of inclusive business environments.

Global Sales & Business Development Director – MucOff

Mike Cook is a board director and Global Head of sales and marketing at Muc-Off. Prior to that he spent 9 years as an owner / investor at Fisher Outdoor Leisure. His career prior to landing in the bike industry included 3 years as European Sales Director at the Adidas:Reebok group and almost 10 years in various sales and marketing roles at PepsiCo. Mike is also a Trustee and Board Director at the Fearless Foundation.
